JUNIOR DESIGNER
House of Dagmar is seeking a Junior Designer to join our creative team in Stockholm. Working closely with the Creative Director, you will contribute to the development of collections that reflect the brand’s refined aesthetic and strong design identity.
You will be involved throughout the creative process — from trend research and concept development to sketching, technical execution, fittings, and material exploration — helping translate vision into crafted garments within a highly design-driven environment. In this role, you will report directly to the Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities
• Trend research and start-up of the season with guidance from the Head of Design and Creative Director
• Collection planning with guidance from the Assortment Manager and Product Manager
• Sketching the collection and preparing technical packages for suppliers
• Support the Head of Design with selection and research of trims, fabrics, and patterns
• Prepare and continuously update overviews throughout the design and development process
• Understand and have the capacity to implement PLM systems
• Arrange fittings and take fitting comments
• Sew toiles if needed, according to paper patterns received from the pattern maker
• Experience in freehand sketching and 3D draping
• Assist during photoshoots
• Continuously research the market and trends
• Responsible for keeping the workspace tidy with samples and fabrics
Your Profile
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• Education: BA in Fashion Design or similar
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience working as a Junior Designer or Design Assistant
• Knowledge of sewing
• Strong knowledge of knitting is a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a big-picture perspective
• Agile, open to feedback, and motivated to continuously learn and develop
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• A fast learner with strong self-drive and the ability to take initiative with ease
• A true team player
